Repurposed Stampin' Up! Dies Cases

I could not WAIT to get home from work today to get at this little project! Its not a big project by any means but one I have been waiting FOREVER to find!!! Finally someone come up with an awesome use for all those Thinlits, Framelits and Edgelits cases that we get all our Dies in that no one has the heart to throw away!!  I like to recycle when I can and this is a great way to do my part in keeping our planet clean... and I can enjoy doing it!

I huge THANK YOU to Patty Bennett for coming up with it!! I have searched off and on for years trying to find something like this. I can't even begin to describe how excited I was when I say Your Video on YouTube decorating just such a great project!!! 😃
As much as I wanted to copy hers exactly... I didn't! I did the same basic concept but changed the DSP and Stamp Set to a current Annual Catalog Suite... Tropical Escape 6" x 6" DSP and the Tropical Chic Stamp Set. It has to be one of my all time favorites and likely will be for a long time! Just so much you can do with it!!!
She is using it as a little envelope to use for give-a-ways and I think I will do the same thing. There is really not a whole lot that will fit in there but it's perfect as a little thank you to someone with some gems or some glimmer enamel dots maybe...
I am giving mine to a good friend who I have become close to after loosing my Mom.  She started her crafting addiction with my Mom and has now been one of my best friends and customers! 😂

Making this is really quite simple, you can watch Patty's video through the link I have at the beginning of this post but all you really need to do is use a strong adhesive such as Tear and Tape right along the entire border of the closure flap and adhere your DSP of choice and decorate as desired.  I popped the entire decoration piece up but make sure to place your Dimensionals in the correct places as not to get them in the way of being able to close it!

  1. This is absolutely FABULOUS ♥ I too have been waiting for something super creative to do with these envelopes. I love this idea. Thank you for sharing the link. You did a great job repurposing your envelope. What a lovely way to give gifts for blog drawings and such. I'm so excited to do this.
