I am moving!

Image
I have been kind of MIA for the past couple months so I’m just going to give you a heads up as to where I’ve been and when I’ll be back!       I decided to list my house for sale because it is too big for just me! My daughter and her boyfriend were tossing the idea of moving so to be here by myself (in a 5 bedroom house) made no sense. Someone else may as well enjoy it. In only 1 month…     So I will be moving! 2022 will begin a new adventure for us, me just to a new place and my daughter to a new town! ☺️      I will be moving my craft room and all the things I don’t NEED first off and then closer to possession date, I will move the rest. I hope to be back crafting by the end of February - beginning of March… unfortunately just before I go back to work in April! 🀷🏼‍♀️ πŸ’– Merry Christmas & Happy Crafting πŸ’–

Christmas Gnomies Photo Folio

Image
I found the cutest and most fun paper to play with!! I bought a digital paper from NitWit Collections called Gnome for Christmas and I had a blast learning with it!!  I have never done anything digital up until I bought this collection the day after its release! I am so happy I stumbled apron it, I learned so much in the 3 days it took me to decorate this folio.  I already had the folio made so all 3 days was playing with the  collection.       All I can say is don’t be afraid to buy something digital thinking your printer isn’t “good” enough!! I have to admit, I was one of them! My printer did print it a little… muted, but I really like the way it turned out.  I watched a great video that the folks at NitWit have on their YouTube Channel for simply using Microsoft Word to do it all. I learnt a lot from that video and the next time I make a project with this collection, it’s going to be AMAZING!!

Whimsical Wallet

This was such a quick & easy project to make! It’s a #useyourscrapschallenge by Yvanca of Scrap and Coffee on YouTube and Scrap, Coffee & Friends on Facebook . She does gorgeous work and I love all her projects… Hopefully I can get at more of them in the years to come.       I had been working on a rather large project and just couldn’t get into it for quite some time! It has been sitting un-finished now for over a month cause I just can’t get at it. I saw Yvanca’s post for the project way back in August and wanted to make it but when I saw her 2 re-makes of it as part of her new series “Espresso Projects”, I made one that day… yesterday! 😊      I love the non-traditional colors in the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty DSP from Stampin' Up! this year!! It has become one of my favorites getting me to like pink more and more everyday... that and the gorgeous foiling on every sheet!! Product List Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine [ 149653 ] $163.00

You’re My Honey Bee Box Album

Image
I know I say this pretty much every time but I think this is my favorite project so far!!      I had always wanted to do an Album that looks like it’s in a box when really, it is the box! I also always wanted to do a landscape orientation Album. When I saw this paper collection I started the landscape album and as I progressed, I decided to try the album box as well!       When I was doing the lid, I mad it a bit to big but didn’t want to remake it so I was thinking how I could use up that little extra space… as you can see, I decided on a shaker! This is the top of the box! Nothing fancy but I REALLY like it!!       I wasn’t sure what to do at first because it was slightly longer than 12x12 but while scrolling on either Pinterest or Instagram, I seen a card designed like this so I thought that would be perfect! I had and extra element that didn’t go in the Album so it was set aside for the lid!  Overall I am extremely pleased with this project and I hope you all like it too! 😊 HappiC

Tropical State of Mind Plus Size Gatefold Folio

Image
I hadn’t been crafting in my craft room for quite some time when I was messaged by a member of my private Facebook group. They were having a little trouble with the Tropical State of Mind Gatefold Album  cause I changed a few things in the written instructions and never got to doing a new video… or video series which I did! I really procrastinated I think cause I didn’t want to do another one just like it, so I asked if it would still make scenes if I made it bigger but kept all the pieces in the same order and she was ok with that! So became the Tropical State of Mine Plus Size Folio! πŸ˜ƒ       I really want Stampin’ Up! to design some scrapbook papers like other companies so it wasn’t so repetitive while making projects like this. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Stampin’ Up!, they just need better designer papers!!      I used the Simple Stories Vintage Garden District for this project, 2 packages of the 12” x 12” and some from the 6” x 8” paper pad. I also had the ephemera pack, the

Snail Mail Altered Composition Notebook

Image
This was just a fun project I did while I was waiting for a video tutorial to upload to my YouTube channel the other day! I have done a few of these Altered Composition Notebooks now because they are so fun and easy to do! The other ones I did, I had dividers in because they were to be used as recipe books but this one I just did the front and back cover to use as a notebook still.      As you can see it has a shaker on the cover as well because they are so fun to do but I still can not get the static out! I guess I will have to do some research and see what others have done!!      I did use products that you can't buy through Stampin' Up! so I will just tell you what those are... the very tiny beads I put in my shakers are from the Michaels store and the chipboard is the stuff you get to back the specialty papers from Stampin' Up! I now keep everything, you just never know! πŸ˜… Product List Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine [ 150673 ] $82.00
