A Pocket Full of Happiness Mini Album

I have been working on a new, Not So Mini Album for a little while now! It is the biggest project I have done on my own so far! It has been a challenge but I am getting it done. It is taking a some time to complete because I am also writing the cutting guide as I go... I am not a planner so I am putting it together as I go... making a few boo boo's but learning how to fix and avoid them next time!
Here is a look at the cover of the POCKET FULL OF HAPPINESS MINI ALBUM!
I am super excited about this one but I am finding it is taking way more pretty paper than I anticipated!! I was holding off on matting until I knew I had enough paper and silly me thought 2 packs would be enough... Good thing I had others that will kind of match! I am not quite done but when I am I will know how many sheets of paper it takes. Not all packages have the same number of sheets so I like to go by sheet.
The main collection I am using is one I got from Scrappin with T - Moose Jaw when they had their big Facebook Sale. It's called We Are Family by Photoplay. The other 2 are ones I got from Michaels in Saskatoon awhile ago, before all this COVID-19 stuff happened! They are Farmhouse and Fancy Floral by Recollections. Between the 3 I think there will be lots enough for this project!
I will be super excited to finish it and do the walk through video for everyone to see! Then once that is done, I can post the cutting guide and start the next Facebook Live Classes in my group, Together We Are HappiLeaStamppin! If you are seeing this and not in my group, you might want to ask to join! I don't charge for the projects I post there! I get so much inspiration from everyone on social media that this is my way of giving back! Giving others some inspiration like I get!! 😉

I think this is one of very few projects that I have made using non Stampin' Up! products and it's only because I like the look of so many other projects. I am really enjoying this kind of Memory Keeping and I can only hope that Stampin' Up! sees the potential in designs like this for future DSPs that they do. I have suggested a couple times to try having both, a more bold image in the foreground of the paper and a pack with DSPs as they have now. Fingers crossed that they her and bring back stuff for the Scrapbookers and Memory Keepers like us. 😊
I LOVE STAMPIN' UP! I have been a Demonstrator since August of 2013 and don't really use any other products... but I have seen some beautiful albums and folios using other designer papers and I really like the looks of some of those papers. Hopefully Stampin' Up! will start designing some papers like the rest of the "Scrapbook" companies. They are more geared to "Stamping" but they could go after the Scrapbook world a little better too!

Christmas (Domino) Ornaments

Decorate with these simple Domino Ornaments! They are very easy! All you need is a set of dominos, Jet Black Stazon Ink (#101406), Sharpie markers, some Crystal Effects (#101055) & stamps that will fit on the domino! Some of the images are not Stampin' Up! but most of them are. The sets from Stampin' Up! are Best of Snow & Polar Party so far. I also used some Stickles for the snow and glitter on some images.

Fancy Fold Card

I'm not sure what to call this card as the one I found wasn't in English! I was surfing on Pinterest one day and found an amazing card!! Of coarse I re-pinned it for later cause I had to give it a try myself. The only problem is, its in another language and the measurements are in cm instead of inches. I really wanted to try the card so I printed out her template and tried to convert cm to inches. I made a card with my dimensions and I am fairly pleased with it.   I tried to go fairly simple on the front as the inside is a little bulky. I used a Mojo Monday sketch for the inspiration on for front of the card.  Sketch 319     For the inside I pretty much used her layout but just used different paper.  I am in the Holiday spirit so really wanted it to be a Christmas card.  I haven't used the specialty paper in the Winter Frost Specialty DSP yet so thought it would work perfectly.   She had a template designed, but of coa...

Christmas Cheer Gift Card Holder

Last year I carried on my Mom's tradition of doing the 12 days of Christmas with my daughter. She had done it every year buy one since my daughter was about 2, I can't remember exactly when she started it... but I can't remember yesterday so... 😂 I decided instead of giving my 16 year old a bunch of stupid things she would likely never use and I would likely toss in the garbage before long, I would give her gift cards instead.  It was a great idea, it was a hit!      Her birthday is Boxing Day so we usually go shopping in the city seeing as it's still a pretty busy day for most families.  She was able to spend around $200-$250 in gift card money so it was all good!  I think doing it that way is a much better way of doing it, what do you think?      I thought I would get a head start on Gift Cards for this year as it is a great way to give a gift and still have the recipient have a choice in what to buy. I have a fe...
