A Tropical Fare Well

It will be a sad day to see one of my co-workers go! She will be retiring at the beginning of June and moving away so it's not even like we'll be able to see her from time to time... I wanted to make her a card that we could all sign so she remembers us! I decided to use the Tropical Chic stamp set as it is definitely one of my all time favorites as well as using a sketch from Poetic Artistry (aka Mojo Monday) . I really enjoy doing her sketches from time to time, they are so fun and really help with the creation if you struggle a little as I do 😁 It is sometimes so easy to use the Tropical Escape Suite , it comes together so well... By using a chunk of the DSP that didn't have any of the coordinating Pink color in it, I could use any of the pink colors I wanted... I used the 2018-2020 in color Lovely Lipstick and the Flirty Flamingo to give the flower texture. I did the same things with the greens on the leaves as well.  I just love the multi-color...

When I first came up to my Craft Room and started my process of finding something to make, I knew I wanted to do something with this Bundle because I want to have a class in August once its availible for everyone to purchase.  This is the second card of the day! It is a combinitaion of a Mojo Monday Sketch and just a card I saw on Pinterest! The layout is the Mojo Monday Sketch, April 24, 2017 #494 and I just kinda used the colors I saw in the card on Pinterest. I am on Pinterest ALL THE TIME! I get so much of my insparation from there :) It didn't look right with ju...

Thoughtful Branches Thank You

I have been on a roll this August Long Weekend! Being as this is Monday, I checked out the Mojo Monday Blog and loved the new sketch so it was my inspiration for this card. I alternated the colors when I did this but I like the one with the black card base the best! I took a picture of each of them in front to show each one better The supplies for this one besides the Big Shot and cutting pads are just the Thoughtful Branches Bundle and Pop Of Pink Specialty DSP

Thoughtful Branches Hedgehog

I am just loving the Thoughtful Branches Bundle! You can find it on my demonstrator website beginning August 2nd. It is available then to the 31st but only while supplies last, so if you like what you see, hurry over :) I was scoping out Pinterest as I usually do on a daily basis and when I saw him, I knew I had to make on for myself. To see the card that I cased this little guy from check out Pinterest and see him there!  I have to admit that I case a lot of cards from Pinterest, this was just the hedgehog himself, the card is a Mojo Monday Sketch ! Check back again and see what else I've made with this amazingly versatile Bundle Happy Stamppin!

February's Club Cards

I have to admit I fell behind a bit! I haven't posted February's club cards yet because our weather has been nice for a few days so I had to go out and play :-) I go out and get the drain on the corner open so there isn't a huge lake. I live beside a seniors home so they are always trying to walk downtown and having a puddle on all 4 corners makes it rather difficult for them to get anywhere. I try and keep my corner open for them :-) Anyway, I was really happy with the cards for February. Everyone was really happy with how simple but nice they were. I made sure to ask everyone of they were happy with them and didn't find the cards we've been doing, too easy. They all said they were fine so I'm taking that as a No to being too easy ;-) I am really pleased with this one and how it turned out. This is the first card I have used glitter with, I always just used Embossing Powder but I really like the glitter. It is a CAS from Pinterest but I can't s...

Non-Traditional Christmas

I was cuttin'er pretty close this month! I just finished the cards today for my club nights which are now this coming Tuesday & Wednesday evenings. I used some of the new stuff out of the 2014-2015 Holiday Mini Catalog. This mini is jammed packed with awesome product and I am lovin the Photopolymer stamps that Stampin' Up! is coming out with! So much cheaper and come it the cases so are so easy to store! Both cards are using the new Nordic Noel DSP. The top card it the Letterpress Winter Photopolymer stamp set  This one is using the Festival of Trees Photopolymer stamp set and the matching tree punch. These to can be purchased as a bundle to save you a bit so you can buy more ;)  This one is also a Mojo Monday Sketch, 349 ☺ Happy Stamping ☺

July's Club Card #2

With 3 days to spare, I got the second card done! It is yet another Mojo Monday Sketch, #355. I had a blast making this one! I knew right away, as soon as I saw the sketch, that I wanted to use it. ☺ Happy Stamping ☺

June's Club Card #2

I am on a roll this weekend! I got the second card finished for Club Night this month.  Now I can relax and not worry about not getting everything done in time. This month was a little busy as I was also getting the basement ready to have everything here instead of at one of the local churches.  It will be so much nicer being at my place seeing as I usually forget something and end up running home. This way I just have to run upstairs! Happy Me!! With the inspiration from this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch . I really enjoy doing the Mojo Monday Sketches, it really helps when you struggle with designing your own cards.  Check out the Mojo Monday Blog and find your own inspiration with new sketches every Monday! ☺ Happy Stamping ☺

Father's Day Is Coming!

Father's Day is creeping up quickly! I had no cards for Father's Day so I got busy this morning and got a couple done. The first one is a case that I had seen on Pinterest. I changed the colors slightly from the original card, but pretty much cased the hole thing. I find it difficult to do cards for men so I tend to case a lot of them. This one is using this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch, 348 . I enjoy doing the Mojo Monday Sketches, it's nice to have the sketch to go by. It makes it easier when you have a hard time designing for yourself. ☺ Happy Stampin ☺

February's Card Club Cards

That was cutting it pretty close! I finally got the cards for Wednesday done! Without further ado...... This is the first one that I did and I used a Mojo Monday Sketch, #328. I liked it because it was very fun and simple to create a cute card.  This is the second one I did. I saw a card on SplitCoastStampers that was done like this but I added the soda cap top. My Mom had shown me how to run the caps through the big shot to squish them so they aren't so big. I ♥ the idea ☺ ☺Happy Crafting ☺

January's Club Cards

I finally got my butt in gear and got January's Club Cards done! I really love the Mojo Monday Sketches and find that I use them a lot. I used last weeks sketch for Card #1, Mojo 327 and Stampin' Up! set Santa's List Card #2 is also a Mojo Monday Sketch. It's an older one, Mojo 312  and I used the Kidoodles stamp set from Stampin' Up! I have to admit, I totally forgot about this little feller! I won't do that again, he's too cute! Happy Crafting!

Beautiful Blue Christmas

In my last post, Fancy Fold Card, I wasn't completely satisfied with the outcome of the card. I liked the inside but was unsure about the front, so I tried again. I used the same template as the first card but this time I just used DSP instead of Whisper White, then placing the DSP around it. It was much easier and faster but I think I like the first inside better. However I like the front of this card much better. I still used Mojo Monday sketch 319 but placed things before I started gluing and did a little more planning ;)   As you can see, I went all the way around and sponged everything, doing all the fold lines as well. That definitely added a little something.   I most certainly love the way the inside folds and I will get it mastered one of these days!

Fancy Fold Card

I'm not sure what to call this card as the one I found wasn't in English! I was surfing on Pinterest one day and found an amazing card!! Of coarse I re-pinned it for later cause I had to give it a try myself. The only problem is, its in another language and the measurements are in cm instead of inches. I really wanted to try the card so I printed out her template and tried to convert cm to inches. I made a card with my dimensions and I am fairly pleased with it.   I tried to go fairly simple on the front as the inside is a little bulky. I used a Mojo Monday sketch for the inspiration on for front of the card.  Sketch 319     For the inside I pretty much used her layout but just used different paper.  I am in the Holiday spirit so really wanted it to be a Christmas card.  I haven't used the specialty paper in the Winter Frost Specialty DSP yet so thought it would work perfectly.   She had a template designed, but of coa...
