Delicious Recipe Book

A Retro Recipe Book!

This is now the second Recipe Book I have made using a Composition Book from the Dollar Store. I bought a few while I was there because they are so much fun make and it comes together so fast!! This is the kind of project that you can start and finish completely all in 1 day!

This one is decorated with the Authentique Paper Delicious. Not normally my style of paper as I like bright and colorful, not so much Retro or Vintage. This project is make to give away on my Facebook Business page so I thought if I used a paper that "I" didn't like so much, it would be easier to give away 😂 Now that it is done... I still don't want to give it away!
I used some of the ephemera that comes in the package to decorate the front cover as well as one of the cut aparts from one of the sheets. This is also a technique I haven't done much of but I think looks really nice and makes an eye catching cover.

It is going to end up being pretty bulky I think once you start filling it with your recipes. I just think that will add character to it in years to come. When it gets passed down to the next generation of cooks, they will be able to look through and have a memento they can remember forever. I think if I were to get something like this, I would keep it in a plastic bag so it didn't get too damaged over time. I don't have a big family but I would hope it would get passed down from generation to generation for as long as it holds up 😊

Here are the pictures of what the inside covers and tabbed pages look like...

As you can see in the first photo here I have made the tabs from acetate sheets. I thought that would be a little better for sliding between other books on a shelf, the tabs wouldn't get damaged sticking out of the book like that 😉

On the back of each tabbed sheet, there is a plain white sheet that you can make notes on or add tips and tricks to recipes in that section.

The front and back covers have simple pockets that you can add cut outs, photos or whatever you want to put in them.

Fancy Fold Card

I'm not sure what to call this card as the one I found wasn't in English! I was surfing on Pinterest one day and found an amazing card!! Of coarse I re-pinned it for later cause I had to give it a try myself. The only problem is, its in another language and the measurements are in cm instead of inches. I really wanted to try the card so I printed out her template and tried to convert cm to inches. I made a card with my dimensions and I am fairly pleased with it.   I tried to go fairly simple on the front as the inside is a little bulky. I used a Mojo Monday sketch for the inspiration on for front of the card.  Sketch 319     For the inside I pretty much used her layout but just used different paper.  I am in the Holiday spirit so really wanted it to be a Christmas card.  I haven't used the specialty paper in the Winter Frost Specialty DSP yet so thought it would work perfectly.   She had a template designed, but of coa...

Christmas (Domino) Ornaments

Decorate with these simple Domino Ornaments! They are very easy! All you need is a set of dominos, Jet Black Stazon Ink (#101406), Sharpie markers, some Crystal Effects (#101055) & stamps that will fit on the domino! Some of the images are not Stampin' Up! but most of them are. The sets from Stampin' Up! are Best of Snow & Polar Party so far. I also used some Stickles for the snow and glitter on some images.

Another Ultimate Pop Up Card

AKA Explosion Pop Up Card You may have to search multiple names for this style of card to find all the cards that others have made & posted. There are likely lots of instructions and video tutorials but I have made one for myself and posted it to the Card Instructions & Printables tab of my blog. Originally I watched the video done by Sam of Mixed Up Craft   and found it extremely easy to follow. However... I don't remember &%$@ so like to have a printable version of the cards I really like to make so I can do them again. I tend to forget sometimes where I originally seen something.       I will have everything I used in the Product List buy thought I'd just tell you that the only thing I used from the Magnolia Memory Dies is the pretty border die. Don't go looking to see anything else from that set cause that was it. Just need a little something to decorate the top.      Also the "Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Magno...
