Double Concertina Inter-Lock Cards

I'm Back In My Craft Room!!!

I can't say it enough... I am so happy to be back in my craft room! It has been a rollercoaster for my Daughter and I over the past year and a half! I am glad to have her home and to be back in the crafty spirt!

Here is an absolutely gorgeous Interactive Fun Fold Card! It is called the Double Concertina Inter-Lock Card and I believe the original designer and or creator is Sam Calcott of Mixed Up Crafts. I love her fun fold cards, she is a super creative crafter and I wish she lived on this side of the big pond!! That and her cards are a little bigger so are great for that special someone you make a card special for.
I have done 4 of these cards now, this one was for a Friend and she absolutely LOVED it, I did one for my Daughter's Birthday, I did up a step by step instruction sheet so did one for that and then I did it with my Cards @ Home Facebook group. That gives me to that I can give to that special person!
The same card can look so different depending on the pretty paper you choose to decorate with! this one was supposed to be just a card but once it was done, I knew I was giving it to my Friend!
This is the one I did for my Daughter! Her favorite color is yellow so I thing I did pretty good and she was pretty happy considering it was a few days late! Her Birthday is on Boxing Day so it is a little hard to celebrate with anyone as they are usually still doing Christmas with Family. This year we are going to start celebrating her Birthday in July so I will be doing a bit of a Christmas In July project too. I will make a Folio of some sort so we can use it to remember her Birthday in July!
I used to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator so I have lots of retired DSPs that I want to use up! They don't always work so well for making Memory Books so that is another reason I am glad to be back crafting! I am going to try and use up some of my stash in the Cards @ Home Facebook Group. I won't always have card kits but if you would like me to make up one, I will. I don't want to do up too many in advance because with this card you use about 2-3 sheets with left overs.

Here is the one I did in the Cards @ Home Group!
I think of all 4 so far, the Christmas one is my favorite though, it was the first one I made so that might have something to do with it! I'm not a huge flower person but this one is pretty nice too!

If you find your way over to the Cards @ Home Facebook group, there are 3 Membership Questions that must be answered before you will be approved into the group. It is a very small group right now and I have just opened it up to allow those from outside my local community to join so please respect that it is a private group. I will be slowly getting files added to the file section of a few other cards I have done instruction sheets for.

Thank you so much for supporting me!!

Fancy Fold Card

I'm not sure what to call this card as the one I found wasn't in English! I was surfing on Pinterest one day and found an amazing card!! Of coarse I re-pinned it for later cause I had to give it a try myself. The only problem is, its in another language and the measurements are in cm instead of inches. I really wanted to try the card so I printed out her template and tried to convert cm to inches. I made a card with my dimensions and I am fairly pleased with it.   I tried to go fairly simple on the front as the inside is a little bulky. I used a Mojo Monday sketch for the inspiration on for front of the card.  Sketch 319     For the inside I pretty much used her layout but just used different paper.  I am in the Holiday spirit so really wanted it to be a Christmas card.  I haven't used the specialty paper in the Winter Frost Specialty DSP yet so thought it would work perfectly.   She had a template designed, but of coa...

Christmas (Domino) Ornaments

Decorate with these simple Domino Ornaments! They are very easy! All you need is a set of dominos, Jet Black Stazon Ink (#101406), Sharpie markers, some Crystal Effects (#101055) & stamps that will fit on the domino! Some of the images are not Stampin' Up! but most of them are. The sets from Stampin' Up! are Best of Snow & Polar Party so far. I also used some Stickles for the snow and glitter on some images.  ļ»æ

Christmas Cheer Gift Card Holder

Last year I carried on my Mom's tradition of doing the 12 days of Christmas with my daughter. She had done it every year buy one since my daughter was about 2, I can't remember exactly when she started it... but I can't remember yesterday so... šŸ˜‚ I decided instead of giving my 16 year old a bunch of stupid things she would likely never use and I would likely toss in the garbage before long, I would give her gift cards instead.  It was a great idea, it was a hit!      Her birthday is Boxing Day so we usually go shopping in the city seeing as it's still a pretty busy day for most families.  She was able to spend around $200-$250 in gift card money so it was all good!  I think doing it that way is a much better way of doing it, what do you think?      I thought I would get a head start on Gift Cards for this year as it is a great way to give a gift and still have the recipient have a choice in what to buy. I have a fe...
