A Tropical Fare Well

It will be a sad day to see one of my co-workers go!
She will be retiring at the beginning of June and moving away so it's not even like we'll be able to see her from time to time...
I wanted to make her a card that we could all sign so she remembers us!

I decided to use the Tropical Chic stamp set as it is definitely one of my all time favorites as well as using a sketch from Poetic Artistry (aka Mojo Monday). I really enjoy doing her sketches from time to time, they are so fun and really help with the creation if you struggle a little as I do 😁

It is sometimes so easy to use the Tropical Escape Suite, it comes together so well...

By using a chunk of the DSP that didn't have any of the coordinating Pink color in it, I could use any of the pink colors I wanted... I used the 2018-2020 in color Lovely Lipstick and the Flirty Flamingo to give the flower texture. I did the same things with the greens on the leaves as well.
I just love the multi-color look that is so easy to achieve by stamping with your lighter color first then simply sponging on the darker color where desired.

Christmas (Domino) Ornaments

Decorate with these simple Domino Ornaments! They are very easy! All you need is a set of dominos, Jet Black Stazon Ink (#101406), Sharpie markers, some Crystal Effects (#101055) & stamps that will fit on the domino! Some of the images are not Stampin' Up! but most of them are. The sets from Stampin' Up! are Best of Snow & Polar Party so far. I also used some Stickles for the snow and glitter on some images.

Fancy Fold Card

I'm not sure what to call this card as the one I found wasn't in English! I was surfing on Pinterest one day and found an amazing card!! Of coarse I re-pinned it for later cause I had to give it a try myself. The only problem is, its in another language and the measurements are in cm instead of inches. I really wanted to try the card so I printed out her template and tried to convert cm to inches. I made a card with my dimensions and I am fairly pleased with it.   I tried to go fairly simple on the front as the inside is a little bulky. I used a Mojo Monday sketch for the inspiration on for front of the card.  Sketch 319     For the inside I pretty much used her layout but just used different paper.  I am in the Holiday spirit so really wanted it to be a Christmas card.  I haven't used the specialty paper in the Winter Frost Specialty DSP yet so thought it would work perfectly.   She had a template designed, but of coa...

Christmas Cheer Gift Card Holder

Last year I carried on my Mom's tradition of doing the 12 days of Christmas with my daughter. She had done it every year buy one since my daughter was about 2, I can't remember exactly when she started it... but I can't remember yesterday so... 😂 I decided instead of giving my 16 year old a bunch of stupid things she would likely never use and I would likely toss in the garbage before long, I would give her gift cards instead.  It was a great idea, it was a hit!      Her birthday is Boxing Day so we usually go shopping in the city seeing as it's still a pretty busy day for most families.  She was able to spend around $200-$250 in gift card money so it was all good!  I think doing it that way is a much better way of doing it, what do you think?      I thought I would get a head start on Gift Cards for this year as it is a great way to give a gift and still have the recipient have a choice in what to buy. I have a fe...
