Love is Brewing, Valentine

I am in the crafting mood today... I got my group projects done and now on to some Valentine's Day cards! Some of the girls where I work would like to see some Valentine's Day cards so I wanted to do some new ones... I haven't done new ones in a couple years so what better time 😉 I love some of the new things in the 2018 Occasions Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.

As I usually do, I comb through Pinterest and see all the wonderful things people create and I pick one that really catches my eye and case it. I try to put my own little spin on the card I find to make it a little more my own 😊
This card is no exception! I found the original card on Pinterest and loved it... I had to case it!  The original was done by My Stamp Lady and I can see I like her style!  I looked through her blog and really like what she has created with all the new products in the 2018 mini catalogs. I hope you go from my blog to hers and see her card as I like to link to where I get my inspiration from.
I find it tough to create on my own sometimes and Pinterest is a huge help with everyone Pinning there creations! Thanks!!

I was kind of sad when I got the email that they were discontinuing the new Picture Perfect Paper Ribbon cause it looks so cool! I had seen a few projects from OnStage using it so was pretty excited... but as you can see... Someone (I wish I could remember who) came up with a new way to do it, and its so simple! Cut a piece 1" by what every you need and score in the middle, use your bone folder to break down the fibers till you can peal it apart. Fold on the score lines then, I glued it back together with the inside on the outside. Fold it in half and use your fringe scissors to cut. Just be careful not to cut too high and cut through.
I wanted to add a photo of the inside of the card... nothing fancy but I love doing the Rock' n Roll technique! With the help of the Sure Do Love You Stamp Set from the Occasions Catalog and the January 2018 Paper Pumpkin stamp set, I did this for the inside of this card.
Most of the time for the inside greeting in the cards I just cut regular printer paper to the proper size. Easier on the CS supply doing it this way. Plus when you mess up, its not as big of a deal 😅

Christmas (Domino) Ornaments

Decorate with these simple Domino Ornaments! They are very easy! All you need is a set of dominos, Jet Black Stazon Ink (#101406), Sharpie markers, some Crystal Effects (#101055) & stamps that will fit on the domino! Some of the images are not Stampin' Up! but most of them are. The sets from Stampin' Up! are Best of Snow & Polar Party so far. I also used some Stickles for the snow and glitter on some images.

Fancy Fold Card

I'm not sure what to call this card as the one I found wasn't in English! I was surfing on Pinterest one day and found an amazing card!! Of coarse I re-pinned it for later cause I had to give it a try myself. The only problem is, its in another language and the measurements are in cm instead of inches. I really wanted to try the card so I printed out her template and tried to convert cm to inches. I made a card with my dimensions and I am fairly pleased with it.   I tried to go fairly simple on the front as the inside is a little bulky. I used a Mojo Monday sketch for the inspiration on for front of the card.  Sketch 319     For the inside I pretty much used her layout but just used different paper.  I am in the Holiday spirit so really wanted it to be a Christmas card.  I haven't used the specialty paper in the Winter Frost Specialty DSP yet so thought it would work perfectly.   She had a template designed, but of coa...

Christmas Cheer Gift Card Holder

Last year I carried on my Mom's tradition of doing the 12 days of Christmas with my daughter. She had done it every year buy one since my daughter was about 2, I can't remember exactly when she started it... but I can't remember yesterday so... 😂 I decided instead of giving my 16 year old a bunch of stupid things she would likely never use and I would likely toss in the garbage before long, I would give her gift cards instead.  It was a great idea, it was a hit!      Her birthday is Boxing Day so we usually go shopping in the city seeing as it's still a pretty busy day for most families.  She was able to spend around $200-$250 in gift card money so it was all good!  I think doing it that way is a much better way of doing it, what do you think?      I thought I would get a head start on Gift Cards for this year as it is a great way to give a gift and still have the recipient have a choice in what to buy. I have a fe...
