Treat Bag Gift Card Holder

A Beautiful Treat Bag Gift Card Holder

I had seen this really cool gift card holder tutorial on YouTube done by Buckeye Inklings and I loved it and wanted to make one!! It was perfect because I had a birthday card I needed to do... better late than never 😉 This is what I came up with...

I did use all retired products but the recipient isn't a stamper so she isn't going to care 😂
I wanted this set all last catalog and I finally got it just a couple months before it retired!! I'm super glad I did cause I have a few tea drinkin' friends I can make things for with this set.
Even though I am a demonstrator, I think it's a good idea to use retired things sometimes either by themselves or with current things because your customers will still use them... if they can't continue to use what they have... they may not want to buy more because they think they have enough.
I think I am going to do these with my monthly group using the retired stripped bags!
I don't have the new treat bags yet so I will use the retired ones and a new Stamp Set or Bundle! A perfect way to pare old and new 😉

Instructions!
These are really easy to make, score the bottom of the treat bag at 2 3/4" and fold it forward giving you this look... you can score the top of the bag as well making the top the pocket but then you don't have an opening at the very back. The insert I used at the very back is
3 3/4" x 4 5/8" and then I matted a whisper white piece 1/8" smaller.
The gift card pocket piece is 3" x 4 5/8" and I cut a whisper white piece to 2 3/4" x 4 5/8" and scored 3 sides at 1/4" (both short sides and one long side).
The belly band I just cut a strip 2" x 12" and wrapped it, you can trim it shorter than 12" but I was able to hide the seem so I just left it. If I were to have trimmed it, I would likely just have trimmed it to 11" so you could still hide the seem under whatever you do at the front. That way it looks nice a neat all the way around!

Christmas (Domino) Ornaments

Decorate with these simple Domino Ornaments! They are very easy! All you need is a set of dominos, Jet Black Stazon Ink (#101406), Sharpie markers, some Crystal Effects (#101055) & stamps that will fit on the domino! Some of the images are not Stampin' Up! but most of them are. The sets from Stampin' Up! are Best of Snow & Polar Party so far. I also used some Stickles for the snow and glitter on some images.

Fancy Fold Card

I'm not sure what to call this card as the one I found wasn't in English! I was surfing on Pinterest one day and found an amazing card!! Of coarse I re-pinned it for later cause I had to give it a try myself. The only problem is, its in another language and the measurements are in cm instead of inches. I really wanted to try the card so I printed out her template and tried to convert cm to inches. I made a card with my dimensions and I am fairly pleased with it.   I tried to go fairly simple on the front as the inside is a little bulky. I used a Mojo Monday sketch for the inspiration on for front of the card.  Sketch 319     For the inside I pretty much used her layout but just used different paper.  I am in the Holiday spirit so really wanted it to be a Christmas card.  I haven't used the specialty paper in the Winter Frost Specialty DSP yet so thought it would work perfectly.   She had a template designed, but of coa...

Christmas Cheer Gift Card Holder

Last year I carried on my Mom's tradition of doing the 12 days of Christmas with my daughter. She had done it every year buy one since my daughter was about 2, I can't remember exactly when she started it... but I can't remember yesterday so... 😂 I decided instead of giving my 16 year old a bunch of stupid things she would likely never use and I would likely toss in the garbage before long, I would give her gift cards instead.  It was a great idea, it was a hit!      Her birthday is Boxing Day so we usually go shopping in the city seeing as it's still a pretty busy day for most families.  She was able to spend around $200-$250 in gift card money so it was all good!  I think doing it that way is a much better way of doing it, what do you think?      I thought I would get a head start on Gift Cards for this year as it is a great way to give a gift and still have the recipient have a choice in what to buy. I have a fe...
