Simple Stories Vintage Lakeside Folio

I wanted to support my local Scrapbook Store that I frequent in Dalmeny Saskatchewan called Scrappin with T so I thought I would try something new... I am doing a Tri Monthly Kit Club that is open to anyone in Canada as long as you are willing to pay the shipping for a Canada Post Flat Rate Box.

The kit includes the supplies to make the project, a PDF Cutting Guide and Video access to a NEW project made just for that Months kit. Prices vary depending on the Collection we choose for that month but so far it seems to be going well! I have made a proto type for the actual project and am currently working on the actual Kit Club Project that I hope to have finished next weekend.

Here is a look at the Proto Type Project for the 1st Tri Monthly Kit Club - July Project...

I call this style of Memory Book my 2 Day Folio because when I started making them, I could get one pretty much finished in a weekend. For most other crafters that don't just get atter, it will likely take you a couple weekends or 3 or 4 days. This is the 1st one of a NEW Style, 2 Day Folio Style 2. It is just constructed slightly different from my first ones making it a little easier to fix gussets if I don't get them right the first time 😊
I used the Simple Stories Vintage Lakeside collection for this project and have many admirers already! I am not quite finished it so I want to get it 100% complete before I consider selling it.
Even though these Folios are fairly small projects, 6 3/4" x 8 1/2" with a 1 1/4" spine, it will hold quite a few photos! I think this one holds about 80 full 4" x 6" photos, you can put 5" x 7" photos in it as well but you will have less spaces for photos. So the size of photos you put will determine exactly how many pictures will fit.

There are still a couple open pockets in this one for more photos so it has potential for a ton of memories!!

Have a look at the Project Share Video to really see this project in action and all the places for Memories!

Christmas (Domino) Ornaments

Decorate with these simple Domino Ornaments! They are very easy! All you need is a set of dominos, Jet Black Stazon Ink (#101406), Sharpie markers, some Crystal Effects (#101055) & stamps that will fit on the domino! Some of the images are not Stampin' Up! but most of them are. The sets from Stampin' Up! are Best of Snow & Polar Party so far. I also used some Stickles for the snow and glitter on some images.

Fancy Fold Card

I'm not sure what to call this card as the one I found wasn't in English! I was surfing on Pinterest one day and found an amazing card!! Of coarse I re-pinned it for later cause I had to give it a try myself. The only problem is, its in another language and the measurements are in cm instead of inches. I really wanted to try the card so I printed out her template and tried to convert cm to inches. I made a card with my dimensions and I am fairly pleased with it.   I tried to go fairly simple on the front as the inside is a little bulky. I used a Mojo Monday sketch for the inspiration on for front of the card.  Sketch 319     For the inside I pretty much used her layout but just used different paper.  I am in the Holiday spirit so really wanted it to be a Christmas card.  I haven't used the specialty paper in the Winter Frost Specialty DSP yet so thought it would work perfectly.   She had a template designed, but of coa...

Christmas Cheer Gift Card Holder

Last year I carried on my Mom's tradition of doing the 12 days of Christmas with my daughter. She had done it every year buy one since my daughter was about 2, I can't remember exactly when she started it... but I can't remember yesterday so... 😂 I decided instead of giving my 16 year old a bunch of stupid things she would likely never use and I would likely toss in the garbage before long, I would give her gift cards instead.  It was a great idea, it was a hit!      Her birthday is Boxing Day so we usually go shopping in the city seeing as it's still a pretty busy day for most families.  She was able to spend around $200-$250 in gift card money so it was all good!  I think doing it that way is a much better way of doing it, what do you think?      I thought I would get a head start on Gift Cards for this year as it is a great way to give a gift and still have the recipient have a choice in what to buy. I have a fe...
