Opening A Pop & Twist Card

A Fun & Fabulous Card, The Pop & Twist Card

This is my first Pop & Twist Card and I think it will be the first of many!!  It was a little bit of a challenge at the beginning but I think I've got it figured out now 😉
As many mistakes that I did and had to fix, it turned out pretty good... The major one was I put all the inside panels on the wrong way! So, thank goodness for the heating trick, I heated all the panels and removed them and put them on right!

Instructions:
Card Base: This is cut to 4 1/4" x 11" and scored in half at 5 1/2"
Panel Piece: This piece is cut to 3 1/2" x 11 and scored every 2 3/4"... so 2 3/4", 5 1/2" & 8 1/4" and fold in the Mountain & Valley or Accordion way
Mechanism: This piece is cut to 3 1/2" x 8", scored in half on the short side at 1 3/4. On the long side, you are going to just make a mark at 2 1/4" and 5 3/4" on both sides. Line those marks up and score to make an X (as seen in image 2), you can also see how it is to fold so once you have it folded like in Image 1, adhere to the inside of your card base.

You can see in Image 3 where to put the Tear & Tape, use a strong adhesive and only at the edges where you see mine! Next is adhering the panel piece which can be tricky 😂 You can see how to (NO ADHESIVE) just place it in Image 4, kinda making the "M" being to the bottom of the card. Remove the adhesive from the bottom (left) side first, then just carefully close the card. Next take the right side of the whole panel and bring it up the middle of the mechanism like seen in Image 5, carefully remove the adhesive from the other side and close your card the same way.

Voila! Time to decorate!!!
Have Fun!

Some of the images are not Stampin' Up! but most of them are. The sets from Stampin' Up! are Best of Snow & Polar Party so far. I also used some Stickles for the snow and glitter on some images.

Fancy Fold Card

I'm not sure what to call this card as the one I found wasn't in English! I was surfing on Pinterest one day and found an amazing card!! Of coarse I re-pinned it for later cause I had to give it a try myself. The only problem is, its in another language and the measurements are in cm instead of inches. I really wanted to try the card so I printed out her template and tried to convert cm to inches. I made a card with my dimensions and I am fairly pleased with it.   I tried to go fairly simple on the front as the inside is a little bulky. I used a Mojo Monday sketch for the inspiration on for front of the card.  Sketch 319     For the inside I pretty much used her layout but just used different paper.  I am in the Holiday spirit so really wanted it to be a Christmas card.  I haven't used the specialty paper in the Winter Frost Specialty DSP yet so thought it would work perfectly.   She had a template designed, but of coa...

Christmas Cheer Gift Card Holder

Last year I carried on my Mom's tradition of doing the 12 days of Christmas with my daughter. She had done it every year buy one since my daughter was about 2, I can't remember exactly when she started it... but I can't remember yesterday so... 😂 I decided instead of giving my 16 year old a bunch of stupid things she would likely never use and I would likely toss in the garbage before long, I would give her gift cards instead.  It was a great idea, it was a hit!      Her birthday is Boxing Day so we usually go shopping in the city seeing as it's still a pretty busy day for most families.  She was able to spend around $200-$250 in gift card money so it was all good!  I think doing it that way is a much better way of doing it, what do you think?      I thought I would get a head start on Gift Cards for this year as it is a great way to give a gift and still have the recipient have a choice in what to buy. I have a fe...
